Business to consumer
Backlink
Any link on another page that points to the subject page. Also called inbound links or IBLs.
Back channel
is communications that are sent via an adminstrator during public conferencing.
Bacn
Bacn is a newsletter that you have opted to subscribe to but you may not necessarily read. In short, a subscription in which is semi wanted.
Banned website
When a website is removed from a search engine's index specifically because the search engine has deemed them to be spamming or violating some type of guidelines.

Bandwidth
The amount of data that can be transferred over the network during a fixed amount of time, usually expressed in bits per second (bps). A hosting server will usually allow your site a fixed amount of bandwidth for any given time.
Banner
A banner is a graphic image that is placed on websites as an advertisement.
Below the fold
Content of a web page that is not seen by the visitor unless the visitor scrolls down the page.
Blind traffic
Low quality traffic generated by misleading banners or SPAM
Block-level element
Is an element which automatically creates a line break before and after it. An exmaple is the H1 tag.
Blog
Blog is short for web blog. It's a page that has short and frequent updates. An example would be an on-line diary.For example we have a web design blog.
Blogger
The author of the blog.
Blogging
Producing blog posts is called blogging. A blogger blogs on his/her blog.
Blogosphere
The community of blogs and bloggers around the world.
Blogroll
A collection of links used or recommended by an individual blogger.
Blogware
Blog software
Bookmark
Is a link to a specific web page, stored by your browser in your favorites section.
Brochure ware website
A website that is merely information placed on a page and is not commerce enabled. Similar to a brochure, these websites are simply electronic marketing pieces with no ability to perform transactions. For example this website is a brochure websit. It was created using HTML. This website provides no interactivity except displaying the information on the web page for users to view.
Browser
A program or software that is used to view web pages. An example is Internet Explorer , Fire Fox and Netscape. There are others.
Bulletin board
was the first type of tool available to the user where they could post messages online to others.
Buzz
A highly intense and interactive form of word-of-mouth communication.
Buzz Marketing
A low or no cost method of marketing associated with people telling other people telling other people about a company's products or services.
